CurrentLore aims to keep editorial judgment independent from commercial, personal and promotional pressure.

Editorial independence

Coverage decisions are made for readers. Advertisers, affiliate partners, publicists, studios, platforms and story subjects do not receive the right to dictate independent editorial conclusions or approve ordinary coverage before publication.

Conflicts of interest

Writers and editors should disclose financial, professional or close personal relationships that could reasonably affect their independence on a story. When a conflict is significant, the assignment should be reassigned or the relationship disclosed to readers.

Gifts, access and review material

Press access, review screeners, event invitations and ordinary review materials do not guarantee coverage or favorable treatment. Material benefits that could reasonably create an obligation should be declined or disclosed when relevant.

Embargoes

CurrentLore may agree to legitimate editorial embargoes in exchange for advance access to information or materials. An embargo affects timing, not the substance of our coverage.

Plagiarism and fabrication

Plagiarism, fabricated quotations, invented sourcing, fake screenshots, falsified data and deliberate misrepresentation are incompatible with CurrentLore standards. Material copied from another source must be properly quoted or paraphrased and attributed as appropriate.

Editorial removal

We do not ordinarily remove accurate articles because a subject later dislikes them. Removal may be considered in exceptional circumstances involving legal obligations, serious safety concerns, rights violations or a publication error that cannot be adequately corrected.
