Corrections & Updates Policy

CurrentLore corrects substantive errors openly and updates developing stories when the facts change.

Corrections

If an article contains a material factual error, we correct the article as promptly as reasonably possible after verification. When the correction meaningfully changes a reader's understanding of the story, we add a visible correction note explaining what was wrong and what has been changed.

We do not remove a correction simply because the corrected article is now accurate.

Routine edits

Minor spelling, punctuation, formatting and style fixes that do not alter meaning may be made without a correction note. We may also improve clarity or add links without treating those changes as corrections.

Updates

Developing stories may be updated with newly confirmed information, additional context, official responses, release information or other material developments. When an update is substantial, the article should display an updated date or an explanatory note where the publishing system allows it.

Headline changes

A headline may be refined after publication for clarity or accuracy. If a headline contained a substantive factual error, the correction should be treated as a correction rather than silently changed.

Request a correction

To report a possible error, email contact@currentlore.com with the subject line “Correction Request.” Please include the article URL, the statement you believe is inaccurate, and reliable evidence supporting the correction. We review correction requests on their merits and do not remove accurate reporting merely because it is unfavorable or inconvenient.
